Van Gogh’s Cafe Terrace on the Place – Heaven and Earth Design Full Material Pack
Follow along this project’s progress inside the Cross-Stitching section and on You Tube
My very first Heaven and Earth Design (HAED) cross stitch project – I ordered the pattern and full material pack kit a few years ago and am finally feeling brave enough to embark on this multi-year project!
HAED patterns are notorious for their extreme detail, oversized canvases, and time commitment. I’ve made many (smaller) Van Gogh cross stitches in the past, and now it’s time to level-up to the most extreme one yet.
HAED’s Pattern and Material Pack came with: Pattern booklet and thread guide; DMC cotton thread; 28 count Lugana cotton canvas; needle threader; needle holder; size 28 Bohin tapestry needles (add-on when ordering)
I’ll be stitching 1 over 1, diagonal parking method. The finished size of this piece will be 18″ x 24″!

Vincent Van Gogh’s oil painting The Cafe Terrace on the Place du Forum (commonly called Café Terrace at Night, and was first titled Café, le soir or Coffehouse in the evening) depicts a nighttime scene of an outdoor Cafe in Arles, France. The painting (finished in 1888) now resides at the Kröller-Müller Museum in Otterlo, Netherlands
