2022 Temperature Blanket – Made in a week!

Ah New Years – the time when people set resolutions, leap into January with fresh optimism and say “this is the year I will track the weather every day! And crochet (or knit) 1 row of this blanket every day! And never lose motivation or frankly forget that I’m doing this and now I have a huge bag of yarn and a half-finished blanket and I’ve lost track of what days are and I forget what I was doing and I’m hungry.”

Well, this year I skipped all of that and just went straight to the end – I made a whole year’s temperature blanket… in a week! I cast on 268 stitched and crocheted a seed/linen stitch for 365 rows (obviously). I used a size I/9 crochet hook, and the final blanket came out to 54″ x 72″ (not including the tassels). 100% recommend, will do again. I’d just make it a wee bit wider next time.

Walkaway Dress Part 2: Fail or Victory?

Ah, the walkaway dress, is the vintage pattern really worth the hype?  @StephanieCanada  put out a challenge to try and find out. Today’s video I will make the dress on the clock, to see how long it really takes to make this dress and if it’s actually possible to start it after breakfast and walk away in it by lunch.

Disappearing Baby Quilts

Don’t worry, the quilts and the babies are all accounted for. The Disappearing 4 Patch block makes for a great “disappearing” baby quilt, and comes together really fast. Follow along while I make a couple quilts for a couple little nuggets that we welcomed into the family this year.
